Attached please find the flyer for the Talking Union Basics (TUB) course being provided by the PSAC London Regional Office, delivered in preparation for fall school. Please Note: DEADLINE FOR RESERVATION IS 4:00 PM Thurs. Sept. 16, 2010 and the location of the course will be determined by the location of the majority of participants who have registered by that date.

I would ask each Local Officer, Steward, and active member to take just one minute, and think about one person in your local who would benefit from taking this course. PLEASE make a point of asking him/her personally if she/he would be interested in registering. These are your union dollars working for the membership.

Please NOTE: There is room for 25 participants, maximum 30.

Please ensure this flyer gets the widest distribution possible to your membership.

2010 PSAC Fall School

Attached is the Call Out letter and application form for the 2010 PSAC Fall School. Please read the information carefully, advise members who may be interested in attending any one of the "Fab Four" courses offered and complete the application form COMPLETELY to be returned to the PSAC Regional Office in your region (list attached to application form) before the deadline date of August 20th.

This is an Ontario wide educational school - there are 5 Regional Offices eligible to send applications - there will be a total of 82 spots available, so it is important that your application be filled out completely and received by the deadline date.

Successful applicants will be advised as soon after the deadline date as possible, with an acceptance letter containing further details. Alternates will also be advised of their status - should a successful applicant not be able to attend, an alternate will be offered that spot.

The Call Out letter explains what the Fall School is about, courses available, regional seat allocations, travel and how to apply. Read it carefully - get your application completed entirely - get it in before the deadline date of August 20th (be sure to attach the $25.00 registration fee on each individual application - please NO LUMP SUM cheques if there are more than one local applicant)

New WHSC Health & Safety Level 1 Offered in Kitchener -Workers Health & Safety Centre Ebulletin

Helping workers and their representatives access affordable and

meaningful occupational health and safety training has long been part of

the Workers Health & Safety Centre (WHSC) mission. The new Level 1 is

being offered as a special promotion for a nominal fee of $100 per

participant (plus GST).

When: Wednesday evenings from February 24 through April 28 (no class on

March 17)
